PANJIM: Ishaan Colaso, Aarish Shaikh, Kedar Nair and Ashank Dalvi stormed into the semi-finals of the U-11 boys category at the DBO-Edcon All-Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2025 underway at Don Bosco Oratory, here, on Wednesday.
Top seed Ishaan continued his impressive form, defeating Shreysht Rane 3-0, while second seed Aarish outplayed Kris Silveira 3-0 in another one-sided encounter.
Local favourite Kedar Nair advanced after a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Kavin Hasija and Ponda boy Ashank Dalvi completed the semi-final lineup with a commanding 3-0 win over Aveer Shah.
Earlier, in the pre-quarterfinals, Ishaan overcame Vivaan Sasmal 3-0, Shreysht beat Vivaan Rane 3-0, Aarish downed Ved Sanvordekar 3-0, Kris defeated Arjun Rane 3-0, Kavin edged past Prem Chopdekar 3-2, Kedar blanked Shiv Chopdekar 3-0, Aveer overcame Vardhan Verlekar 3-1 and Ashank powered past Nuroddin Shaikh 3-0.
Meanwhile, in the boys U-15 category, the qualifying rounds concluded with Vivaan Prabhudesai, Bhaavan Srivastava, Adhiraj Badave, Kaushik Nair, Ashank Dalvi, Yuvaan Sanke, Noel Kurian, and Shreysht Rane making it to the main draw. The tournament, a selection event for the nationals, has been organised by Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim, under the aegis of Goa Table Tennis Association and supported by Edcon Constructions.
