Betul Trawler Owner Renews Demand for Retaining Wall at Jetty

Betul trawler owner Vasudev Kerkar has once again urged the authorities to construct a retaining wall at the Betul jetty, stating that the long-pending demand has remained unresolved despite repeated representations.

Kerkar said the absence of a retaining wall continues to pose difficulties for fishing vessels using the jetty. He recalled that during the previous fishing season, several fishing boats got stranded at the river mouth while entering and leaving the harbour, causing inconvenience and raising safety concerns.
