The Margao post office is used by hundreds of persons every day but the shabby state of the interiors is really disheartening. Exposed electric cables, smeared walls, non-functioning token machine, water-stained roof, fallen false ceiling tiles and what have you. The whole office seems to be frozen somewhere in the 19th century. At a time when India is on the path of modernity, the government would do well to spruce up the head post office and bring it up to some semblance of standards.
