They observed that people are unable to avail the schemes, especially Indira Awaz Yojna, which is meant for housing.
With no other proposals, this was the gram sabha’s only agenda. The rail over bridge (RoB) issue was to be discussed, but it got postponed as the matter is still pending with Navelim MLA Avertano Furtado.
The panchayat has long demanded an RoB as people have complained that they had to wait for a long time whenever the railway gate was shut. The panchayat has raised this issue with the authorities and pointed out that people had to wait for almost an hour at times, and as such, it was dangerous for anyone who had an emergency.
