30th Anniversary of Konkani’s inclusion in 8th Schedule of Indian Constitution

It is 30 years since our mother tongue Konkani was included in the 8th Schedule of the Indian constitution. Konkani, Manipuri and Nepali were included in the constitution in 1992 through the 71st Amendment. On 4 February 1987 Konkani became the official language of Goa. On 30 May 1987, Goa became the 25th State of the Indian Union.
