Ambelim wedding & Fatorpa funeral has become Fatorpa’s nightmare

MARGAO: Two women from Fatorpa who reportedly contracted coronavirus from a wedding function they attended earlier have been found positive, along with 9 others, who they had met at a funeral recently.

The two women who were detected positive, have reportedly spread the infection to 9 others. The medical officer at the Balli Primary Health Centre Dr Mamta Kakodkar said that some days ago the women had attended a marriage function in Ambelim. Since the cases have spiked in Ambelim, the women too were tested and were found to be positive. After some investigation, it was found that the women, after attending the marriage function at Ambelim also attended a funeral at their village where several contracted the virus.
