Exposed transformers pose a serious threat to the lives of innocent pedestrians proceeding along the concerned routes. Seen in the picture is one such instance in the vicinity of Sai Service Pvt. Ltd. at Curti in Ponda.

Many pedestrians, including school/college students walk their way along this location on most occasions. As on Friday February 17 at 6 pm, the situation in this regard was found to be the same –dangerous and hazardous.

It is time for the Electricity Department in Ponda to provide the much needed door for this exposed transformer on priority basis so as to avoid a possible tragedy in the near future. Since prevention is better than cure, let us hope that prompt favourable action in this important matter would follow in public interest.
