The narrow stretch of road at Tonca in Panjim is in a terrible state for the last couple of months. There are deep cracks and craters on the surface of the road risking lives of motorists, specifically two-wheeler riders. The shoddy patch work done by those who laid cables underneath the roads is very much exposed here.

Are the PWD officials blind to this dangerous condition of the road and are they waiting for a major mishap to occur here before they embark on the repair to this road?

Perhaps they should take note that in cases where there have been fatalities on pot-holed roads the citizens all over India have taken the departments and officials concerned to court and claimed heavy compensation for the dereliction of duties. This at least should compel them to act before it is too late.
