Please clean up Panjim market

Citizen Alwyn Md’sa, Miramar

In spite of so many statements made by the CCP the Panjim market continues to rot.

Walls and floors are full of filth and tobacco stains; cobwebs loom over cubicles, which are never cleaned and some of the tarpaulin covers put up by vendors over their enclosures are full of various type of garbage.

When will the grime and tobacco stains on the walls, that looks ugly and unaesthetic, be washed clean. And whatever happened to the plans of CCTV to monitor  all activities in the market? The lanes around the market are full of rotting vegetables and other mixed garbage.  All this will contribute to the spread of vector-borne diseases.

The  main market of the Capital city and the surroundings needs to be  cleaned thoroughly, under strict supervision every single day.

Can the CCP take up this task more responsibly?
