Mapusa: The two undertrials who went missing on Friday from the Central Jail in Colvale were found hiding in the jail premises by the authorities on early Saturday morning.
Police sources said the duo were found sleeping on the roof near the old administration block.
It can be recalled that on Friday evening the two undertrials Upendra Rupendra Naik (23) native of Orissa and Hussain Kod (37) from Karnataka had gone missing from central jail at Colvale between 3.30 pm to 6pm.
The officials had suspected that the two must be hiding within the jail premises and had began a manhunt for them.
Sources said jail inmates are allowed to go around in the open space within the prison premises every evening, however on Friday evening the duo was found missing during the head count.
