German national finds mother dead in flat

Canacona: A 53-year-old German national Stephanie Hesser was found dead in her apartment at Chaudi, Canacona by her daughter.

Stephanie lived by alone in an apartment.

The daughter who lives in Germany tried calling her mother repeatedly and after finding that her mother failed to receive her calls she arrived in Goa.

When she visited the apartment where her mother lived she found the door locked.

After futile attempts, with the help of others she broke the toilet window pane, only to find her mother lying motionless in the hallway.

Police reports stated that the deceased woman had previous history of asthma and was undergoing treatment for depression for several years. However the cause of her death is yet to be ascertained, sources disclosed.

Canacona police also informed that her body has been sent for post-mortem to ascertain the cause of her death.
