Cuncolim: The Congress party recognizes dynasty over merit, democracy, hard work, democracy, sacrifice and hard work, said Union Minister for Women and Child Welfare Smriti Irani, while addressing a BJP campaign rally at Guirdolim in Cuncolim constituency.
She said that democracy should be strengthened by getting back BJP to power. Representatives from Guirdolim, Paroda, Chandra, Ambaulim and Cuncolim municipal areas were present on the platform
Irani applauded the development work done by BJP in Goa and at the Center. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is seeking another opportunity to rule in the name of development.
“In Goa, the BJP government has provided water connections to two lakh sixty thousand people. One lakh and thirty thousand toilets have been set up,” she said.
She also took a dig at the Congress party when she said that Congress leader (Rahul Gandhi) was spending holidays with his grandmother (in Italy) and raising doubts about country’s indigenous vaccine when the country was in crisis.
She said that Congress leaders were disappearing when death was knocking on their door during Covid period.
Smriti Irani said that the country which did not produce a single PPE kit during the Congress rule is now the second largest exporter of Covid PPE kits.
“The Congress party does not have the any shame. Their leaders come to Goa and make their own party members prepare affidavit and take oath of not leaving the party. A party which does not have faith and trust in its own candidates, how will people trust this party called Congress?
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Clafacio Dias appealed to the voters for giving him another chance to serve. “The constituency would have been neglected if I were in the Congress,” Dias said.
