PANJIM: Hours after the Congress and Trinamool Congress (TMC) approached the Chief Electoral Office accusing a Hindi news channel circulated a doctored video of three contesting candidates speaking about changing party loyalty post elections; the Panjim police registered an offense for violation of election code. A First Information Report under sections 188 of Indian Penal Code and 126 of Representation of People Act has been registered against the Editor of News Channel Hindi Khabar.
The accused Editor of the Hindi news channel, in a video that is making rounds, claimed that the videos of the sting operations are not fake.
