PANJIM: The State government has appointed Nodal Officers to cater to the needs of stranded migrant labourers and people who are homeless and are in need of medical attention.
The government has appointed Prasad Pednekar, Deputy Labour Commissioner, North Goa District and Satish Vaghonkar, Deputy Labour Commissioner, South Goa District as the Nodal Officers to ensure the welfare of the stranded labourers and homeless, who are in need of aid and medical attention, within their jurisdiction.
The Labour Commissioner will supervise the functioning of both the Nodal Officers. For relief work, the Nodal Officers will coordinate with the concerned collectors, who in turn would make immediate appropriate arrangement.
