PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday said that he will request the Government of India to invite Pope Francis for decennial exposition of SFX at Old Goa starting from November 21 this year.
After chairing a meeting of top government officers to monitor the day-to-day functioning and to oversee all activities related to the forthcoming exposition, Sawant said that an invitation will be sent to the Pope on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for exposition.
Sawant said he will write to the Prime Minister and then send a personal invite from the State government to the Pope to attend the exposition.
