CANACONA: “The party gave me the ticket because if felt I am worthy of it and I shall maintain the trust the party leadership has reposed in me,” said Pallavi Dempo, BJP’s candidate in South Goa while speaking to the electorate at Cotigao.
“Goa has progressed a lot due to the various development policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi has tried to provide relief to everyone by implementing various welfare schemes,” Dempo said.
Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar dismissed the opponents and asserted that the BJP will get a thumping lead in Canacona constituency.
Vishal Dessai, BJP leader from Cuncolim appealed to the people to help the party get more than 400 MPs at these elections.
Ex-chairman of Canacona Municipal Council Diwakar Pagi, sarpanch Mahesh Naik, Pradeep Shet and District Committee member Shobhana Varik were amongst those present at this function where Anandu Desai, Cotigao Sarpanch welcomed the dignitaries.
Dempo’s campaign in Canacona kicked off by seeking blessings at Shri Vitthal Rakhumai Temple in Agonda. After this, she addressed the public at Shri Vitthal Rakhumai Temple Hall at Rajbagh Tarir. Later, she addressed the citizens at Shri Sateri Temple Hall at Poinginim, Shri Navadurga Temple Hall at Iddar Loliem, Sanskriti Bhavan at Amone Poinguinim and Panchayat Office at Cotigao.
