The issue of vehicles having tinted glasses had surfaced in the budget session of the state assembly in February this year. The ruling as well as the opposition MLAs had raised concern over the spotting of vehicles with tinted glasses across the State despite there being a complete ban on their usage.

The legislators had urged the State government to take more stringent action and crack down on the violators.

During the calling attention motion, the MLAs pointed out that the some ‘influential’ or ‘known’ persons were unfazed by police action.

However, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had assured the Members that the government will intensify the drive against the tinted glasses.
