The power transformers are electrical instruments used in transmitting electricity from one circuit to another without changing the frequency.
They are used in transmitting power between the source of electrical power and primary circuits. It is observed that in several localities in the State people experience power outages, voltage fluctuations and power cuts quite frequently.
One reason could be the old power transformers which are still in use. These transformers were probably installed when there were fewer houses in the locality.
Now, with the buildings and housing colonies coming up along with commercial establishments, the power requirements have increased. Hence, it seems necessary to upgrade the transformers in such localities.
