PONDA: Kumbarzuvem Nagrik Samithi bagged first prize for its float presented at Ponda Shigmo Parade held on March 26, the float by Mahalaxmi Nagrik Samithi secured second prize and Bal Gopal Mandal, Chimbel won the third prize.
Apart from the top three prizes, there were seven other prizes which were awarded in float category.
In Romatamel Contest Suyog Shigmotsav Samithi bagged first prize while Mandaleshwar Managuru Shiroda received second and Hindvi Swaraj Diwadi got third prize. Besides two more prizes awarded to winners.
In folk dance category Saraswati Kala Mandal Curti won first prize, second prize was awarded to Sakhyahari Savoiverem and Navadurga Kala Sanskriti Mandal bagged third prize besides two more prizes were awarded.
In fancy dress competition, Madan Tari bagged first prize in Senior category and Vedant Naik won first prize in Junior category, besides several prizes awarded in both categories.
The prize distribution ceremony was held at Ponda Bus Stand in presence of Ponda Dysp Aarshi Adil, Ponda PI Tushar Lotlikar, Fire Station in-charge Sushil Morajkar, besides officials of Ponda Shigmotsav Committee Kishore Naik, Gurunath Naik, Hanumanth Naik, Vishant Naik and Rekha Shirodkar were present.
