VASCO: Urban Development Minister Milind Naik on Wednesday informed that the PWD pipeline under JICA project will be ready within two months which will solve acute water shortage in Sada.

To boost the drinking water supply in parts of Headland Sada, Naik held a special meeting with PWD officials on Wednesday.  The main objective of the meeting was to find ways and means to improve the water supply to the hilly areas of Sada.

The minister informed media persons that he has been receiving several complaints from the residents of Headland Sada on acute water shortage.

He mentioned that the area already has an overhead water storage tank that can store around 8.5 MLD, which would be sufficient enough to store water, but the real problem is there is no proper sufficient water supply in Sada, which is the last point.

The PWD officials informed that they have listened to the grievances of locals regarding the water shortage issue in Sada.

They claimed that once the pipeline under JICA becomes operational there won’t be any water supply issue in Sada.
