Nomon Tuka Goykara elicits positive response

VALPOI: Nomon Tuka Goykara got positive response in Sattari Taluka on Sunday, 3 June

Congress Party Goa, Nomon Tuka Goykara program have received a positive response in Sattari Taluka. On Sunday the Goa Congress Party President, Girish Chodankar along with congress party workers from Sattari held a rally under the banner of Noman Tuka Goykara at Valpoi town, around hundred supporters were present for the rally.

Locals have expressed and shared many problems, which they are facing over the past many days with party President Girish Chodankar. The local revealed they are facing water shortage problem, low voltage power and unemployment. Needy people, they claimed were not getting jobs and those who got the jobs, usually had several Government servants already. Needy people were only given fake promises.

While addressing the media Chodankar said there was no development in Sattari Taluka, for several decades. There is always shortage of medicine at Valpoi Community Health Center. And besides this, the CHC x-ray machine and generator is not working for several years and no action has been initiated to sort it out. 

“Now we will make the booth President and booth wise committees in Valpoi constituency. And we will give the chance especially youths and for next assembly election our candidate for Valpoi constituency will be a local youth and not an outsider”. Said Chodankar.

Sattari’s first English High school scores well in SSC

Sattari:  First English High school Our Lady of Lourdes school..SSC passing percentage 97.4 this year

Miss Sanjyot Shirodkar (92%) stood first in Our Lady of Lourdes High School with overall school passing percentage 97.4% at the SSC exam conducted in March 2018.

The school students excel brilliantly with 20 distinctions and 43 1st class. "Out of 115 students appeared, 112 manage to clear exams successfully. Our 20 student came distinction of which Sanjyot Shirodkar stood first in school" stated school Headmaster P Pereira. Meanwhile the school congratulated students and the staff for bringing good result.

Almeida School with highest pass percentage in State

Ponda: Almeida School  with highest strength of students in Goa,  excelled top in SSC Board Exams. 

A .J.de Almeida High School having largest students every year in Goa , this year it were 446  in SSC have appeared Board exam secured 99.10 percent result with 442 students passed while Four students got the ATKT. 

Ektha Silvant Goel secured 96.16 percent marks without sports marks while Neha Mahesh Desai secured 95.16 (total of 98.67 percent marks with sports marks).

 Around 197 students secured distinction including around 39 students secured above 90 percent marks. Around 170 students secured first class.

Around 20 students secured 100 percent marks in Science while in Maths 5 students secured 100 percent marks. In Social Science one student secured hundred marks.

Headmaster of AJ De Almeida High School Nilima Pramodh Zamble expressed happiness with the success of students and gave the credit to students, teachers, Management and parents for encouraging students.

Ektha Goel said that she was studying hard since beginning of classes and have credit to teachers and her hard work. She said she will give medical entrance exam as her ambition is to become forensic expert. Ektha said her  interest in forensic science grew after watching CID programmes on TV channel, where forensic science is shown frequently in detecting crimes. Neha Desai said that she scored  95. 16 percent and including sports it is 98.67  percent ,said that she will join Medical Science. She made her time table for study and followed accordingly. She gave her credit of success to parents and teacher and her hard work.
