RUMDAMOLL-DAVORLIM: Illegal constructions in the Rumdamoll-Davorlim village dominated the gram sabha held, on Sunday.
Sarpanch Avita Satish Chodankar said, “The issue of illegal constructions was discussed during the gram sabha with the panchayat cautioning that those undertaking such constructions without approvals or NOCs will be doing so at their own risk since these violators take advantage of the lengthy process and time taken by the panchayat of issuing them show cause notices for such illegal constructions.”
“Another issue raised during the gram sabha was that of those residing in rented premises making their Ration Cards, Aadhaar Cards, etc. So the landlords of such rented premises were cautioned to be careful while issuing their NOCs to their tenants,” the sarpanch said.
“Development works to be undertaken were also deliberated and gram sabha members were informed regarding the proposals to be undertaken Machinery worth Rs 70 lakh has been procured for the MRF (material refuse facility) shed that will be inaugurated on Monday, September 27, at 10.30 am by Navelim MLA Luizinho Faleiro,” said Chodankar.
