Special camps for electoral enrollment on Feb 23-24

Voters eligible and left out of electoral rolls can enroll, correct names, get marked as ‘person with disability’ at polling stations

PANJIM: Chief Electoral Office (CEO) has organized two-day special electoral enrollment camps on February 23-24 at polling stations for the left out eligible voters. 

The move is to provide further opportunity in campaign mode to all un-enrolled eligible persons to get their names registered in the electoral rolls during continuous updation period, so that they are not deprived of voting at lections. 

Booth level Officers (BLOs) will remain present in the camps along with the copies of final electoral rolls, 2019.

State is gearing up for Lok Sabha elections, which are due in April. 

CEO has also informed citizens to check their particulars on electoral roll at the polling station or on National Service Portal  www.nvsp.in and apply for correction if required. 

Tagging of ‘Persons with Disability’ (PwD) voter is also on. Citizens are requested to inform BLOs about any PwD voter who is known to them so that special facilities and training for PwD voters can be organized.  

As per the latest electoral roll published last month, the total electoral population is 11,26,732 with male population consisting of 5,51,597 while the female voters are at the higher side with 5,75,135.
