VASCO: Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL) will get around 100 electric buses between November and December, informed Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho adding that from this quota, around 25 electric buses will be operational by November.
The minister on Thursday informed media persons that though the KTCL will receive these buses from the Centre they are not enough.
He said, “Centre is helping us to get these electric buses.”
Later, the minister also inaugurated the blood donation camp held under Sewa Saptah Week to commemorate the birthday celebration of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Meanwhile, KTCL chairman and Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida said, “Goa will get these electric buses under Central Government scheme. As compared to many other States, Goa will get more electric buses because we have done all the necessary formalities including applying for this Central Government scheme much early than other States”.
