A devastating incident unfolded in Surat on Monday evening, as 6-year-old Safa Patel tragically passed away during a CT scan procedure at Synergy Imaging Centre. The heartbroken family from Bharuch alleges medical negligence, pointing to a suspected overdose injection as the cause of Safa's untimely demise.

Safa, who was undergoing treatment for hearing problems at Shruti Hospital, was referred to Synergy Imaging Center for a CT scan. According to her father, Imran Patel, Safa received injections during the procedure but lost consciousness midway and was rushed to Nirmal Hospital, where she was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Prompted by suspicion, Safa's family filed a complaint with Athwa police, alleging negligence by the imaging center. A forensic post-mortem examination at New Civil Hospital aims to shed light on the circumstances of Safa's death, with Dr. Ganesh Govekar overseeing the analysis.

Athwa Police Inspector Dashrath Rabari affirmed the family's concerns, vowing action if the autopsy confirms an overdose. Meanwhile, the imaging center maintains adherence to protocols, refuting claims of negligence. Safa's father, however, contends that the procedures were conducted without transparency, fueling the family's demand for justice.
