Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidates from North and South Goa, Shripad Naik and Pallavi Dempo respectively, filed their nominations for the upcoming Lok Sabha 2024 elections on the eve of Ram Navami. The ceremonial act was attended by a flurry of party stalwarts and supporters, reflecting the fervor surrounding the BJP's campaign in the region.

In South Goa, Pallavi Dempo, accompanied by Chief Minister Sawant, Ministers Sudin, Aleixo Sequeira, Aleixo Reginald, and Ravi Naik, made her way to file the nomination. Speaking to the media afterward, Dempo reiterated her commitment to uphold the ideology of the BJP.

When queried about the opposition's stance, she maintained her focus on a positive campaign, stating, "I don't want to comment about the opposition; let them see to their own issues." Dempo also acknowledged encountering employment-related challenges during her campaign in South Goa.

Meanwhile, in Panjim, while addressing public gathering before Shripad Naik filed his nomination, Minister Vishwajit Rane exuded confidence in Naik's electoral prospects, predicting a lead of 35,000 votes from Sattari alone. "Shripad Naik will win with a margin exceeding 100,000 votes in North Goa," Rane declared, expressing optimism about BJP's sweeping victory in both Lok Sabha seats in Goa.
