TALEIGAO: Albert Developers continued their dream run in the Goa Football Association Second Division League Ilhas Zone match following their comprehensive 5-0 win over Shree Naguesh Maharudra Sports Club at Taleigao ground, on Wednesday.

Starting the match on an attacking note, Albert Developers took the lead in the 11th minute when Joel’s curling free-kick found skipper Shankar, who nodded from close to score the team’s first goal.

Albert Developers dominated the game and soon doubled the tally in the 21st minute through Gaurav Kankonkar who after receiving a pass from Ronil Azavedo, dribbled past couple of defenders and slotted home. The winners led 2-0 at the break.

Post resumption, Gaurav completed his brace when he placed the ball over the onrushing keeper to make it 3-0. Nagesh Maharudra were totally overpowered and outplayed by the opponents.

Abudev made it 4-0 in the 67th minute before Krishna added the fifth for the winning side. 

Albert Developers defence stood tall and made it impossible for Nagesh Maharudra to break into the rival territory.

Finally in the 86th minute, Nagesh Maharudhra were down to 10 men following the expulsion of Caji Gurjao, who was given the marching orders for using abusing language on the field.
