DEUSSUA-CHINCHINIM: Host CRC Chinchinim outplayed Dicarpale SC 4-3 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the 2nd CRCC Cup, organised by CRC Chinchinim, at CRC Chinchinim ground, on Tuesday.

Chinchinim’s upcoming striker Melido Rebello should have netted the first goal in the second minute but the latter’s shot was saved by Dicarpale keeper Avin Vales. 

Later, Dicarpale SC’s Meclon Colaco and Robinson Colaco long ranger shots were brilliantly saved by Chinchinim keeper Sunny Fernandes in the 23rd and 34th minutes respectively.

In the resultant tie-breaker CRC Chinchinim netted through Aston Fernandes, Selwin Fernandes, Chedel Fernandes and Dickson Costa while Leslie Costa, Mable Miranda and Reeve D’Costa scored for Dicarpale SC.

CRC Chinchinim will now meet the winners of Betalbatim SC and Carmona SC in the quarter-finals on November 2.
