DEUSSUA-CHINCHINIM: Carmona Veterans shot-out Verna Veterans 5-4 via the tie-breaker win the 4th all Goa veterans football tournament, organised by Chinchinim Veterans and Rickshaw Drivers, at, Our Lady of Hope church ground, Chinchinim, on Sunday.
Both halves remained goalless draw.
In the tie-breaker, Carmona Veterans proved to better shooters.
Joseph Dias-President South Goa District Congress, social worker and football promoter of Goa was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of Fr Jose Antonio D’Costa, parish priest of Our Lady Of Hope Church Chinchinim and others dignitaries.
Individual awards: best goalkeeper of-the-tournament: Francisco D’Costa (Varca veterans), best goal of –the-tournament: Pobres Colaco, best defender of-the-tournament: Alex Alvares (Carmona Veterans), best discipline team: VIVA North Veterans.
