CHINCHINIM: Cuncolim Union defeated Ugem Rising Club 5-3 via the tie-breaker to move to the quarterfinals of the Fr Bruno Leitao Memorial Cup, organised by Union of Chinchinim Villagers, at Our Lady of Hope Church ground, Chinchinim, on Sunday.
Ugem took lead through Clive Gomes in the 13th minute but the joy was short lived as Daulat Dessai of Cuncolim equalised in the 21st minute.
In the tie-breaker, Cuncolim Union netted through Ashtrosio Pinto, Dailon Carvalho, Alister Fernandes and Melvin Fernandes while Lauren fernandes and Cleward Pereira found the net for Ugem Rising Club.
The man-of-the-match award awarded to Asiyo Pulyamalial of Ugem Rising Club.
