RAIA: Dempo Sports Club put five goals past Sporting Club de Goa in the second match in Group A of the Dream Sports Championship Goa regional rounds played at Rosary college ground, Navelim, on Tuesday.
Dempo SC were in fine form as Anni drew the first blood in the 11th minute.
Despite Sporting Clube’s fight back, Ashok Vaz effectively ended the match when he scored team’s second goal in the 44th minute.
Nigel Viegas, Kayden Mansley and substitute Krutik Gaikwad were the other goal scorers for Dempo Sports Club. In Group B, FC Goa beat Sesa Football Academy 2-0 with Shawn Fernandes scoring both goals.
They are tied on goal difference with Belgaum United Football Academy (BUFA) and will face off in a penalty shootout on Thursday, April 18, to decide the second finalist for the Goa regional rounds. The final will be played on Thursday, at 4pm.
