PANJIM: After the successful organisation of the Indian Super League season six in Goa, the ISL season 7 is likely to be held in Goa once again, a source close to the organisers disclosed.

Due to the COVID pandemic, the league which is usually played across the Nation, was chosen to be played in one state in a bio-bubble, and they successfully managed to complete the tournament without any trouble.

The available sports infrastructure and hospitality sector made it even easier for the organisers to choose Goa as the destination last season. Though they had shortlisted three states, Kerala, West Bengal and Goa, it's was last named most suitable and reasonable for the organisers to host the league.

“Since the COVID-19 pandemic condition hasn’t stabilised the league is likely to be held in Goa once again,” added a source.

It is learnt that the ISL organisers are likely to make a formal announcement shortly.

Last year, the Indian Super League was held in Goa due to the available sports infrastructure which helped in smoothly organising the league.

It is given to understand that if the situation worsens, the league might be even played in UAE.
