Khandola Govt College, MES move into next round

PANJIM:  The Government College of Arts Science and Commerce, Khandola, defeated Rosary College of Commerce and Arts by 55 runs to move into next round of the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Cricket Women’s Championship played at Goa University cricket ground, Taleigao Plateau, on Tuesday.

The Government College of Arts Science and Commerce won the toss and elected to bat. In the first innings, Government College of Arts Science and Commerce scored 114 runs losing 3 wickets in 10 overs.  Simran Naik 21 (20), Jiya naik 18 (19). Kismat Chauhan 1/21. 

In the second innings, Rosary College of Commerce and Arts scored 59 runs losing 3 wickets in 10 overs. Mamta kumari 08 (20). Sanjana Palkar 1/10.

Best player was bagged by Simran Naik 21(20) of Government College of Arts Science and Commerce.

In second match of the day, MES Vasant Joshi College of Arts and Commerce, Zuarinagar, won against Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics, Margao, by 5 wickets. Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics won the toss and elected to bat.

In the first innings, Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics scored 68 runs losing 2 wickets in 10 overs. Maishree Bandodkar 17 (24). Pooja Yadav 1/10.

In the second innings, MES Vasant Joshi College of Arts and Commerce scored 69 runs losing 5 wickets in 10 overs. Harshada Kadam 36 (27) not out, Anisha Harmalkar 10 (21). Uma Pandit 2/08.

Harshada Kadam 36 (27) not out of MES Vasant Joshi College of Arts and Commerce was honoured with best player award.
