PANJIM: Three Goan bodybuilders have been selected for Team India which will participate in the 13th South Asia Bodybuilding and Men’s Physique Sports Championship to be held in Maldives.
They are Sumit Naik in 90-kg category, Vijay Sutar in men's physique sports and Gauresh Kinlekar in men’s physique classic.
They were selected at the selection trials organised by Indian Body Builders Federation (IBBF) in association with Goa Body Building and Fitness Association (GBBFA).
The event was inaugurated by Sunil Deodhar, chief patron IBBF, in the presence of Chief Patron of GBBFA and Margao MLA Digambar Kamat, President GBBFA Bhai Naik, Treasurer GBBFA Sanjay Shet Raikar, Kushali Virdikar, Premchand Degra, Chetan Pathare (General Secretary of World Body Building and Physique Sports Federation), T V Pauly (President IBBF), Yogiraj Kamat and Prabhav Naik.
