Crisis manager

Vrushali Vivek Parsekar, a BSc in microbiology and post graduation in pathology is MD of Happy Investment which deals with insurance, pension, mutual funds, equity, wealth management and real estate. VIKANT SAHAY met with her to find out how she balances her work and leisure time

A mother first, a wife next and then a businesswoman Vrushali, being a post graduate in pathology happens to be the only intermediary between a doctor and patient in the family.
Her morning begins with a live TV Darshan of Shirdi Sai Baba at volume which wakes her family in the environment of hymns and ‘shlokas’.
“This creates the atmosphere in the house and the morning is always peaceful,” she said. Vrushali does her yoga three days a week and on alternate days she prefers to walk while Sunday as usual is an off day from her daily routine.
“I work in a very strict schedule and I do not carry work to home. And my brain works best when there is a crisis,” believes Ms Parsekar. On an off day she is passionate about cleaning the house from the junk. Once a year she will surely take a break for a holiday, which could be domestic or international. However, for her, the holiday may not be just leisure time. “I could be attending some seminar or conference which helps me gain knowledge and keeps me updated on what is happening around the world and at the sidelines I enjoy the place,” adds Ms Parsekar.
She recalls that her life changing moment was when she scored 100 per cent in mathematics but the board deducted one mark for her bad handwriting and ultimately got 99. “It taught me a lesson that even when you have everything right there is still scope to achieve perfection. However, my handwriting remains the same even today,” said Vrushali.
In the month of January every year she is deeply engaged in organising spiritual lectures by Swami Anubhavananda in Goa. Her husband Vivek and children Adarsh and Sharvani, make up the other indispensable and integral parts of her life.
