The discharge of 10 out of 11 accused persons by South Goa Session Court discharge of 10 out of 11 in the Canacona Ruby Residency collapse case is a dark chapter of criminal investigation.
It proves that humanity has no value in tiny Goa; the 30 innocent souls lost life and countless numbers injured but neither the Goa Government nor Goa Police has no zeal to give justice to the poor victims working at that time to earn a just a living for them and their families. It is ridiculous and shame on our system for making it look like that only rich and in-fluent can get justice in our Society.
Now as the contractor of the building stand for trial all alone there won’t be surprise as time pass that he too is acquitted of all the charges against him since it is absurd to lay the blame on him alone by discharging rest of proprietary of the project.
Losing 30 lives in one goal is not a small thing. A contractor alone cannot held responsible of building collapse, the developers is more responsible than anyone for what going on his project and obviously all the Government officials and politicians whose negligence lead to tragedy. From the time of Developers absconding after the collapse until their arrest, bailout and now discharge 10 out of 11 it seems the investigation is going on as per whims of dirty minded interested parties rather than victims. With one hand one cannot clap just as a contractor out of 11 proprietors cannot prosecute for huge man-made tragedy which if not corrected in all probability results in no one is responsible for the collapse of Ruby residential building.
It is not an natural calamity but clear cut man-made tragedy as such from the developers and all those involved in the construction of the building are responsible for death of so many.
The blood of victims is crying out at the doors of justice as such the Government of Goa cannot be a spectator, they have to pull-up Public Prosecutor and all the Police officers investigating the case, if need shun out them from handling the case by either entrusting the Canacona Building collapse case to some honest officers and thereby to appeal the discharge of 10 out 11 accused person in higher court. It is just an ridiculous of our system to think of that just one person is responsible for a gigantic tragedy when the ruling Government who might be thinking that 30 lives lost are very cheap for just simple living.
