3 held for forging documents of Tivim land

MAPUSA: The Mapusa Police have booked three persons for allegedly forging documents pertaining to around 8,000 square metres of land at Madel, Tivim.

Arjun Shetye, Civil Registrar-cum-Sub Registrar, had lodged a complaint against the accused identified as Siddique alias Suleman Khan, Afsana Khan and Asif Allabaksh Saudgar.

The incident took place prior to July 30, 2020 where the accused persons dishonestly prepared forged documents in respect of landed properties in Survey No 455/7, 466/5 466/6 of village Tivim, by preparing and using fake government stamps, by impersonating legal heirs and further succeeded in transferring the landed properties.

An offence has been registered under Sections 465, 466, 467, 468, 471, 419, 420, 255, 259, 260 r/w Section 34 of the IPC.
