42,000 students to answer Class X, XII exam from today

PANJIM: In all over 42,000 students of Class X and XII will answer Goa Board’s first terminal exam from Thursday. The examination, conducted by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) will begin with English paper.

As per the schedule, Class X exam will end on November 29, while Class XII exam will be over on November 25.

The exams will begin at 2.30 pm on each day and students have to report to the examination centre at 2 pm. The examination which is based on multiple-choice questions (MCQ) will be of 90 minutes. 

The Board has granted additional 15 minutes time to answer Mathematics Level I and II paper. 

Close to 21,000 students in each standard are expected to answer the first term examination.

The second terminal exam is likely to be held from April 1, 2023.

For the academic year 2021-22, the Board had introduced a special evaluation scheme for Class X and XII students. As per the special evaluation scheme, the syllabus is divided into two equal parts for the first term and the second term.
