Five persons working for the Sunburn organizers have been apprehended by the police in connection with the alleged theft of passes valued at Rs. 82 lakh. Upon instructions from the Anjuna Police Station’s Police Inspector, a formal complaint was registered against the accused.
The complaint was filed by Arvind Kumar Mishra on Friday, citing the involvement of Shivam Chari, Mahesh Gawas, Manjit Gawas, Yashin Mulla, and Sidhhanagouda Hanchinal in the theft of 600 Sunburn passes, amounting to Rs. 82,50,000.
Upon instructions from the Anjuna Police Station’s PI (Police Inspector), a formal complaint was registered against the accused individuals. The complaint accuses these employees, working under the complainant, of orchestrating the theft of the Sunburn passes, a vital component of the event’s access and revenue generation.
The registered offence falls under Section 381 IPC (Indian Penal Code), citing the alleged involvement of the accused in the theft of the passes.
