PANJIM: Animal Husbandry & Dairying received a total of Rs 8.33 crore financial assistance from the Centre over the last three financial years.
Union Ministry of Fisheries revealed that Goa had received a total sum of Rs 660.56 lakh under development of fisheries; Rs 21.91 lakh under livestock health and disease control; Rs 100.06 lakh under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission; Rs 7.2 lakh for Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme; and then Rs 43 lakh for dairy development in the last three financial years. There was no data for Goa on support received under the National Livestock Mission.
“The central funds are being released under the various Central sector/ centrally sponsored schemes based on the proposals received from the States/ Union Territories (UTs)”, said the Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parshottam Rupala in the Rajya Sabha.
