MAPUSA: Taking over the investigation into the death of BJP leader Sonali Phogat, the team of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) along with forensic and local police officials visited the Grand Leoney Resort at Anjuna on Saturday where Phogat and her aides had stayed.
Sources said the CBI team inspected the hotel rooms to collect evidence in connection with the case. During the course of investigation, the Anjuna Police had sealed these rooms.

The autopsy of Phogat revealed multiple ‘blunt injuries’ on her body as her aides had allegedly forced her to drink water mixed with an “obnoxious” substance.
Anjuna Police have arrested Phogat’s personal assistant Sudhir Sangwan, Sukhwinder Singh, Edwin Nunes alleged owner of Curlies shack, drug peddler Dattaprasad Gaonkar and Ramdas Mandrekar.
