PANJIM: The Children’s Court will on August 30 hear arguments into anticipatory bail of a teacher, charged with molesting his students.
The three-year-old incident came to light after a video went viral wherein the accused teacher, who happens to be related to the school’s chairman, is seen misbehaving with the students.
NGO Goienchi Mahila Ekvott on Thursday filed an intervention petition in the court urging to reject the anticipatory bail plea.
The NGO has also alleged that Ponda Police has not conducted the investigation satisfactorily. The police sought time for reply stating that they have identified students for their deposition. The Court accordingly granted time and fixed the matter for arguments on August 30.
