Chimbel Resident Arrested for Theft of Damaged Trailer Truck in Old Goa

In a recent development, a resident of Indira Nagar-Chimbel, Shivram Kadam, found himself in custody after being apprehended by the Old Goa police on Saturday. Kadam stands accused of the theft of a trailer truck that had been parked alongside the road at Corlim.

The trailer truck in question had previously been involved in an accident on September 5, resulting in substantial damages amounting to Rs 4 lakh, as it collided with a shed in Corlim. Following the accident, Old Goa police had taken possession of the truck, given its inoperable condition, and parked it in an open space by the roadside. The truck’s driver had been entrusted with the responsibility of safeguarding the vehicle until further court orders were issued.
