With reference to the matter titled ‘Fix the slab’ which appeared in this column on March 20, a new concrete slab has already been installed along the pavement near municipal garden in Ponda. The hollow gap that was noticed prior to the installation of this slab, has now disappeared from this spot. With the existing slabs being laid in uniform level, safety has been assured to precious human lives on a permanent basis.
I am thankful to the Ponda Municipal Council for initiating prompt positive action in public interest. Hope the Council will take measures to check all this type of lapses on the roads which people use.
