PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant announced that the Class X and XII board exams have been postponed.
He added that the government had spoken to the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHE) regarding this.
He also said GBSHE will make an announcement of the new dates 15 days prior to whenever the exams will be scheduled next. He said a call regarding this will be taken after assessing the COVID situation in the State during the newly-imposed restrictions.
“Schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutions will be closed until April 30 except for offline examinations of college students,” Sawant said.
He said that the Directorate of Education will take a call on whether the teachers and staff will have to report to school or not.
He added that almost all of the classes were anyways being held online and therefore there is no need for students to venture out.
