Garbage, fish market among issues hotly discussed at Sanvordem

QUEPEM: Garbage issue, maintenance of fish market, the non operational Parrikar sports complex, dangerous trees and non functioning of CCTV cameras at Sanvordem-Tisk were some of the issues discussed at the gram sabha.

 Sanvordem gram sabha member Swapnil Bhandari objected to heavy vehicles passing through the narrow village roads which he said was posing risks to villagers and demanded that the dangerous trees on the main road from Sanvordem-Tisk to Guddemol be cut immediately.

While gram sabha member Gautam Bhandari demanded that the hygiene and cleanliness be maintained at the temporary fish market as it was stinking, Sanket Bhandari  demanded that the panchayat start door-to door collection of garbage and so that people stop dumping waste in every nook and corner.

Vallabh Dalvi demanded that the  panchayat repair the CCTV cameras considering the fact that thefts were on the rise in the village

Sarpanch Chinmayi Naik informed that garbage will be collected every household and added that the CCTV cameras will be repaired immediately.
