PANJIM: Goa Government Employees Union (GGEA) on Tuesday decided to march to the secretariat on December 7 to collect the 7th pay commission order.
“GGEA had taken a joint discussion with other associations of employees and has decided to march towards the secretariat on December 7 along with all employees of different government departments and not to back out from the secretariat until the 7th pay commission order is handed to us,” GGEA, President John Nazareth said.
“In this regard the union has asked all the employees to apply for a leave on December 7 and assemble at Patto from where the march will move towards the secretariat,” he added
Expressing dissatisfaction on the delay in implementing the 7th pay Commission, representatives from GGEA on Monday had said they would strengthen their agitation if their demands were not fulfilled. GGEA on November 7 had served a 21-day strike notice to the government over its failure to clear its stand on the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendation.
