Goa to pitch in Europe, Asia to attract high-end tourists

PANJIM:  With an eye on high spending tourists – both international and domestic, the Goa Government will be participating in 25 marketing promotional events in India and seven other countries, starting from September. 

As per the information provided by the Tourism department, as many as 14 events are scheduled this year from September to December that includes 11 domestic travel marts and exhibitions and three international. In 2023, Goa will participate in 11 promotional events and road shows that include four international marts.

The State tourism department delegation will be participating in the IFTM – International French Travel Market – Paris in France between September 20-22 followed by ITB – Asia in Singapore from October 19-21. Goa will also participate in World Travel Mart (WTM) in London in November from 7-9. 

In 2023, the international participation includes – International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR 2023) in Madrid, Spain from January 18-23, BTL – Lisboa International Tourism in Portugal from March 1-5, ITB Berlin -Germany from March 7-9 and Arabian Travel Mart (ATM) in Dubai from May 1-4. 

In India, Goa will participate in Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) scheduled in Surat, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Guwahati in September and December, respectively and again in Chennai in February, next year. 

Goa will also put up its stalls at India International Travel Mart scheduled in Delhi and Mumbai in September and Pune in November.
