PANJIM: Goa is likely to experience rains, accompanied by thunderstorms, from late Friday evening onwards as a result of a formation of a trough along interior Karnataka.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Goa Observatory in a statement issued said that with the trough along interior Karnataka and moisture at lower levels, the conditions are favourable for light thundershowers at isolated places for five days from April 9.
“Thunderstorm activity is likely to increase from April 11,” IMD said. However, there is no deep sea or port warning for the State.
