Locals upset as Western Bypass flyover height reduced

MARGAO: Residents of Navelim, Telaulim, Sinquetim and adjoining areas claimed that the height of the proposed flyover for Western Bypass road near Sinquetim has been reduced to 3.7 metres.

The upset villagers assembled at the crossing of the Western Bypass informed that the height of the flyover as proposed earlier was 5 metres but now it has been reduced to 3.7 metres.  “The fire brigade vehicles with ladder and trucks presently used are between 5 and 6 metres. The engineer says the fire brigades will have to take the highway to enter the Navelim, which is not good,” the locals said.
